CALLING ALL TERRA COTTA COMMUNITY FAMILIES AND FRIENDS -- August 31, 2013

 

 

It's that time again!

The 5th annual "terra Cotta Day" sponsored by the social concerns ministry of Swift Street A.M.E. Zion Church will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013.

This event is for all persons who grew up or had family ties to the Pomona Terra Cotta Community. This event will begin at 11:00 am and end at 4:00 pm. On the grounds of Swift Street A.M. E. Zion church.

The fun day will consist of lot of games and other activities. There will be lots of food and fellowship with old acquaintances. The menu will consist of Barbecue, fish, chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, potato salad, slaw and homemade desserts.

In order for this day to be a success, everyone is encouraged to participate. Donations of food or money will be gladly accepted, but not required to attend.

 Our Pomona Terra Cotta Elementary principal Mr. Julius Fulmore have been invited to attend. We are hoping it will be a fun day for all.

Tee shirts will be $12 dollars and should be paid in advance.

TERRA COTTA SECOND CELEBRATION - 2004


                                                             

 

The second annual “Terra Cotta Day”, sponsored by the social concerns ministry of Swift Street A.M.E. Zion Church, was held on October 2, 2004. This event was attended by many people who grew up or had family ties to the Pomona Terra Cotta Community. This event was celebrated on the grounds of Swift Street A.M. E  Zion church.

 

The fun day consisted of lot of games and other activities. There was lots of food and fellowship with old acquaintances. The menu consisted of barbecue, fish, chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, potato salad, slaw and homemade desserts.

 

Celebrities included principal Mr. Julius Fulmore, Diane Bellamy-Small, Yvonne Johnson, and Chief of Police Ray, whose mother grew up near Terra Cotta.
